The WPS 650/1200/1600 system is a wire-driven system in which a drive station is installed between 2 alleys. The drive station is built with a large drum for winding the wire, where the winding is controlled by a lead screw. A geared motor drives both the lead screw and the drum via a chain. The drive station is supplied exclusively as floor-mounted. At the ends of the alleys or channels, corner pulleys are installed to guide the pull wire. The corner pulley mounted at the drive station is fitted with a tension arm to guide the pull wire on the slack side of the drive station. A system normally pulls 2 or 4 alleys or channels, depending on their length. The pull wire can be recessed in a cast-in trench or a U-rail in the middle of the alley. The system is used both on top of concrete in alleys and in channels under slats. Scrapers are parked opposite each other in the alleys.
As a minimum, the system consists of one drive station, one control cabinet, corner pulleys, wire, and scrapers.
The control cabinet is equipped with a PLC, which can be programmed as required to select operating times in the alleys. The PLC control also has a built-in protection function for animal safety.
